Cars that are Euro 6 compliant are also likely to be cheaper to tax (for the first year after April 2017, all the time for those registered 2001-2017). It definitely isn't worth it. Making an older vehicle ulez compliant is only viable for specialised commercial vehicles where it'd cost a stupid amount of time and money to get a newer one.
